Profile
About
Christian Robert Peterson is a Waldorf alumnus of Hawthorne Valley School (Class of 2012), whose lifelong relationship with the spoken word began in childhood through eurythmy, poetry recitation, and the artistic traditions at the heart of Steiner education.
After graduating, Christian trained intensively in the UK and the US under some of the world’s most celebrated stage and screen actors, including Fiona Shaw, Julian Glover, Henry Goodman, John Heffernan, Leo Wringer, Pippa Nixon, John Tucker, and Paola Dionisotti. His study encompassed the Alexander Technique, the Michael Chekhov Method, and classical voice work rooted in Shakespearean and poetic traditions.
Professionally, Christian has appeared in a range of international productions — from period dramas and historical epics to independent art films — working under Oscar-winning and BAFTA-nominated directors. His work has been recognized for its depth, presence, and vocal clarity, making him a sought-after collaborator in both theatre and film. Recently he has auditioned for leading roles in Game of Thrones: A Knight of Seven Kingdoms (HBO) Wind of Change (Warner Brothers) and has been shortlisted for projects such as Boys in the Boat (dir. George Clooney) and the Tattooist of Auschwitz (Sky TV).
Now based near London but often returning to his home in the Catskills, Christian bridges the artistry of performancewith the soul-centered mission of Waldorf education. His workshops invite teachers to explore their own living voice — unlocking the power of breath, resonance, and intention — so that every lesson becomes a living work of art.
