What sets us apart
Holistic actor training is an approach to preparing actors that addresses the entire person—body, mind, emotions, and spirit—while recognizing the interconnectedness of these elements. Instead of focusing solely on isolated aspects of performance, such as vocal technique or physical movement, holistic training integrates multiple disciplines and practices to nurture a well-rounded and fully present performer. The goal is to create actors who are not only technically skilled but also deeply connected, expressive, and adaptive in their craft.
-
-
Training includes practices that develop the actor’s physical awareness, balance, and freedom, often drawing from methods like Alexander Technique, Laban Movement Analysis, yoga, or dance.
-
Emphasis is placed on understanding how the body moves and how physical habits can enhance or inhibit performance.
-
-
Vocal Development:
-
Actors explore breath work, vocal techniques, and resonance to develop a powerful, expressive, and flexible voice.
-
Holistic vocal training often incorporates the emotional and energetic aspects of voice, connecting it to inner feelings and intentions.
-
-
Emotional and Psychological Connection:
-
Techniques such as Michael Chekhov's psychological gesture, Stanislavski’s emotional memory, or Meisner’s repetition exercises help actors access authentic emotional expression.
-
Emotional resilience and well-being are emphasized, ensuring actors can safely navigate intense or challenging roles.

Scope of Offering
The work shared through The Art of Holistic Acting is intended as a professional offering that blends my formal education, practical training, and lived experience as a working actor. The content is designed to support actors in deepening their craft and personal connection to the work, drawing on a range of influences and practices including—but not limited to—performance training, embodied awareness, and creative writing.
In my professional journey, I have worked closely with renowned Alexander Technique teacher and voice coach, John Tucker. John has an extensive teaching resume, including work at prestigious institutions such as RADA, and his guidance has significantly informed my own professional development, particularly in terms of body awareness, vocal technique, and the integration of mind-body principles in performance.
While I incorporate elements of the Alexander Technique to support body awareness and alignment, I am not a certified Alexander Technique teacher, and do not claim to offer formal instruction or certification in that method. My inclusion of Alexander-based concepts is intended solely as a supportive tool within the broader holistic context of this program.
By participating in The Art of Holistic Acting, individuals understand and acknowledge that the teachings provided are based on personal and professional experience, not clinical or licensed instruction. Participants are encouraged to seek additional guidance from certified or accredited professionals where appropriate.
